About Greeters

Purpose 
The Greeters team exists to be the first official representative of the church seen by members, visitors, and newcomers to our church.  

Our purpose is to bring glory to God by showing those who enter the building love and care. 


Ministry Goals:
  • To serve the body
  • To provide order
  • To provide direction
  • To represent the church

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Welcome visitors and members as they enter the church before Worship.
  • Distribute connect cards and Offering/Tithing envelopes (when needed).
  • Block entry to the sanctuary during prayer and seat latecomers when prayer is finished.
  • Close doors to the sanctuary when announcements begin.
  • Direct attendees during Offering and Communion.
  • Offer to assist in seating people.
  • Remain available to direct and seat latecomers.
  • Give direction to the Children’s Ministry or restrooms when needed.
  • Open doors when final prayer begins.
  • After service, walk through the sanctuary and pick up all bibles, bulletins, handouts, and debris. Place all unused information cards or offering/tithing envelopes back in their place for future use.
